As the new season of India’s Got Talent takes off, it’s time yet again to see the world of artistes and talent showcasing their awesome skills and making sure it all rocks.
The show has been hugely successful as the Indian version of ’Got Talent’ series and has become a veritable platform for some bizarre, some awesome and some breath-taking talent all around. Telecast on Colors TV the show has major corporate sponsorships with Maruti Suzuki being the Title sponsor of the show’s current season.
Amongst the many aspiring talent last week is a young boy from Chennai who stepped on the stage with a confidence rarely found in his peer age group. Curly locks and spectacles couldn’t hide the unmatched confidence and teachings he received at a music school in Chennai – a school unlike any other.
Sai Jamshed, introduced himself as the student of Dr. A. R Rahman’s School of Music also known as K M Music Conservatory, only to floor the judges with just the mention. A former resident of Dubai, Sai’s passion for music saw his parents take a decision that changed his life forever. They moved to Chennai so that Sai could single-mindedly pursue his love for music at none other than the prestigious A.R Rahman School of Music.
Sai is home schooled and the music institute is where he spends most of his time, religiously learning the art of paying a piano. This young pianist soon began his journey in the mystically musical world of piano. His talent didn’t stay hidden for long as the Messiah of Music, A R Rahman recognised this young pianist and even complimented the kid saying that he is the ’star of the show’ (a show Sai took part in).
Sai is not new to praises and accolades! In 2011 when Sai was all of 10 years, he played a mesmerising piece on UAE’s No. 1 Bollywood Radio Station, City 1016. His video garnered much awe and praises from the online community.
With a flawless performance on the medley of ’Jeena Issi ka naam hai’ on National television and receiving a golden Buzzer not to mention the generous praises from the show’s judges who are biggies of the entertainment world like Karan Johar, Kirron Kher and Maliaka Arora Khan, Sai has firmly made a place in every ones heart. His unassumingly cute smile and innocence that melts hearts, this boy is already paying a way for himself in the world of music and entertainment.
Keeping his undoubted talent aside one cannot help but notice a slight resemblance to the Messiah of Music, Dr. A R Rahman, himself. This curly locks and the way he plays piano with such attention and the drama that he creates with his body posture when he plays, reminds us of a young Rahman at a concert.
Many such resemblances bound to arise when you are learning from the ultimate master musician. We only wish that the boy’s future too shapes up with success just like his Genius mentor.
We look forward to more such great performances by Sai Jamshed directly at the semi finals!
